I recently read Crazy Sexy Diet by Kris Carr and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to improve their health. The book is full of great information about the benefits of eating a plant-based diet. Carr does an excellent job of explaining how our food choices can impact our overall health, and she provides practical tips for making healthier choices. I was particularly impressed by her discussion of the importance of mind-body-soul nourishment. Too often, we focus on one area of our lives to the exclusion of others, but Carr makes it clear that we need to take care of all three aspects of ourselves if we want to be our best. Whether you’re interested in going vegan or simply want to learn more about healthy eating, I think you will enjoy this read.

While there are many books out there that claim to give the reader insight into the creative process, Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon is one of the few that actually lives up to the hype. In clear and concise language, Kleon lays out 10 simple principles that any artist can use to jump-start their creativity. Whether you’re a painter, musician, writer, or filmmaker, this book is sure to help you think outside the box and look at your work in a new light. Perhaps most importantly, Kleon reminds us that all artists are standing on the shoulders of giants and that it’s okay to borrow from our idols as long as we put our own spin on things. If you’re in need of some inspiration, or just to think outside the box, this is a must-read too.

If you’re familiar with Austin Kleon’s work, then you know what to expect with Show Your Work! – a slim volume packed with zingers of insight and inspiration. And if you’re new to Kleon, then let this book be your introduction to one of the most vibrant and voracious minds working in creativity today. Writing in his signature style – part manifesto, part memoir, part pep talk – Kleon lays out 10 transformative rules for sharing your creativity and building a career on your own terms. This is a book that will make you think about the how and why of your creative work – whether it’s writing a blog post or starting a business – and motivates you to find new ways to get your ideas out into the world.

If you’re looking for a book that will teach you how to make money, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a book that will help you change your mindset around money, then You Are a Badass at Making Money: Master Mindset with Wealth by Jen Sincero is for you. Jen Sincero doesn’t sugarcoat anything and she tells it like it is. She talks about the Universal Laws and how we can use them to our advantage. She also talks about how we often become victims or sabotage ourselves without even knowing it. There is inner work to be done in order to make progress. What we focus on is what we create more of, so if we want to attract more wealth into our lives, we need to start by changing our mindset. If you’re ready to do the work this is the book to help you create the life you want.
