Unique Ways to Celebrate Mom on Mother’s Day

Back to all

Mother’s Day is May 14th

Moms make our world a better place. Imagine how lost we’d be without their support and love. With Mother’s Day coming, I thought it might be the perfect time to share some special and unique ways to honor and celebrate the lady who is most important to many of us, our Mothers.

Moms. They’re the Best!

This Mother’s Day can be a way for the whole family to show your Moms she’s extra special. The entire family can get involved in coming up with ways to make this a special day for her. Depending on your family’s style, you may be looking for fun ways to celebrate, for ways to go down memory lane, for ways to make her feel pampered and special, and ways to spend quality time with her. Every moment can be packed with something she’ll appreciate, something beautiful, like her, something that reminds her how much she means to you.

Here are some creative ways to treat your special Mom

  • Family Book Club
  • Family Picnic in the great outdoors
  • Beach Bag with fresh sunscreen, a new Julie M Studios beach towel and a water bottle, and some cool shades or a hat
  • Farmers Market shopping with a focus on tastings
  • Family Songs Playlist and Living Room Dance Party
  • Cooking Class together
  • A New Family Photos Album with a soundtrack of your lives
  • Make a terrarium together
  • Decorate cupcakes and make a cupcake tower
  • Write Mom a handwritten note to share a special memory

There are so many creative and clever Mother’s day ideas to make Moms feel special, but probably the most obvious is simply spending time together with Mom. A lot of Mothers aren’t looking for extra work on this special Sunday, so make sure your mother’s day event planning isn’t too strenuous or adding household chores for her. If she has to clean because everyone is coming over to her house, that’s never fun for her. Find ways to give a helping hand to her, so that she’s got a day of ease and relaxation. Maybe going to mom’s favorite restaurant is something she loves to do. Look for special brunch events at those restaurants she loves. I like to pick a place with a scenic view like near a lake or park, so we can take a stroll outside afterward. A lot of restaurants cater to Mother’s Day Activities and likely get busy, so be sure you call ahead if you’re planning on dining out. Mom’s favorite meal is always a great gift idea. You’ll be getting bonus points if you arrive with fresh flowers.

Mom’s are the most important women in our lives. Fill her day with her favorite things and a good time will be had by all.
