3 Tips to Creating Routines

i have a love/hate relationship with routines...

I find that having some sort of daily routine helps me be more productive and keeps me on track. The key is creating routines you can stick with. However, I am the type of person who sometimes breaks that habit and has to start all over again. 

Right now I am in that mode of starting my routines over. My ideal morning involves a walk for at least 30 minutes, some time to meditate for 10-15 minutes, and then I start looking over my tasks for the day. This helps me start my day off on the right foot and prevents me from feeling overwhelmed. 


If you’re looking to get started with a daily routine, here are three tips that can help.

HERE ARE MY THREE TIPS:

  1. Try not to overcomplicate things. A simple routine that you can stick to is better than an elaborate one that you give up on after a week.
  2. Be flexible and don’t be afraid to adjust your routine as needed. If something isn’t working for you, change it!
  3. Make sure to have some sort of accountability in place. Whether it’s telling a friend or family member about your goals, or keeping a journal to track your progress, holding yourself accountable will help you stick to your routine.
 

Bonus tip, make sure you start your day with something fun and that you enjoy!

What works for me might not work for you, but I hope these tips can give you some ideas on how to get started. Creating and sticking to a daily routine can be challenging, but it’s so worth it in the end. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
