"Christmas is a season for kindling the fire for hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart."

Day One of the Advent Calendar

The first day of the advent calendar is always filled with excitement and anticipation. As they peel back the tiny door, a sense of wonder fills the air. What could be hiding behind it? A small piece of chocolate? A tiny toy? Or perhaps a sweet message to brighten their day?

This tradition, which counts down the days until Christmas, has been a part of many people’s holiday celebrations for generations. It’s a fun way to build up the excitement as the big day approaches.

On this first day, they might also take a moment to reflect on the meaning of the season. It’s not just about the gifts or the decorations, but also about spreading love and kindness to those around them.

So, as they open that first door on their advent calendar, they’re not just starting a countdown. They’re beginning a journey filled with joy, anticipation, and the spirit of giving.

1) Draw it yourself in your style OR 2) Download and color the page

Next, share on Instagram using the tag #dtiys-advent and TAG ME IN THE PHOTO – @juliemstudios (this will allow me to find it)
