"The greatest thing is not to believe in Santa Claus; it is to be Santa Claus."
Pat Boone

Welcome to day five of our Advent calendar! Today, we’re going to create a festive drawing. The theme is “A Beary Christmas.” This means we’ll be drawing a cute bear celebrating the holiday season.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to draw your own Beary Christmas:

Step 1: Start by sketching a simple circle for the bear’s head and a larger oval for its body.

Step 2: Draw two smaller circles on top of the head for ears. Add two more circles for the eyes, and don’t forget a triangle for the nose!

Step 3: Now, let’s work on the body. Draw four ovals for the bear’s arms and legs. Make sure they look like they’re holding something – maybe a present or a candy cane?

Step 4: Time to add some details! Draw a Santa hat on the bear’s head, and maybe even a scarf around its neck. Don’t forget to add some fur lines to make it look fluffy!

Step 5: Finally, color in your drawing. Use whatever colors you like best. Maybe the bear is brown, or perhaps it’s a polar bear and should be white. It’s up to you!

Remember, art is all about expressing yourself. So, feel free to add any other Christmas elements that you want. Maybe there’s a Christmas tree in the background, or perhaps the bear is standing under some mistletoe. Have fun with it!

Once you’re done, share your masterpiece with others. They might get inspired to create their own Beary Christmas drawing. Happy holidays!

This year I thought it would be fun to make these into a DRAW THIS IN YOUR STYLE! There are two ways to do this:

1) Draw it yourself in your style OR 2) Download and color the page

Next, share on Instagram using the tag #dtiys-advent and TAG ME IN THE PHOTO – @juliemstudios (this will allow me to find it)

I will be sharing your versions in my stories throughout the month!
