“Color and creativity are the keys to sparking joy, hope, and passion. Color brings our stories to life.”

MY STORY

I grew up in Wisconsin (at least some of my childhood) and could always be found with a pack of stickers, crayons, and a coloring book. My love for color started early and I have never lost that love. I would get so engrossed in making those pages beautiful that I would not even know what was going on around me. As I got older, I taught myself to draw, and art class was an escape for me.

As I grew up, things changed and I was told that my love for color and art did not have any place in a career. I decided I wanted to be a lawyer, nope a political science major with expertise in Russian culture. Then I changed again and settled on interior architecture. Did not make my mom happy with all these degree changes, ha!

Now many years later I am back to my original love of creating art. That 8-year-old little girl would be so happy and proud of who she is becoming. Even if it is too many years later!

My dream is to see my designs on home good surfaces from pillows and throws to fabrics and walls. I also can not wait to illustrate my first children’s book.

Hope you will follow along with me as I navigate this world of surface design. Looking forward to seeing you over on the blog.

Want to know more? You can find my resume and artist statement on my about page.

I license my work on products. I have a passion for sparking joy, hope, and spreading that for others to enjoy as well. Licensing is a great way to do this. If you are interested in licensing my work reach out to me today!

Illustrating. I want to illustrate a children’s book. One day I hope to author and illustrate my own with our daughters. I am taking the steps to be a sponge and learn as much as I possibly can about what makes a great children’s book and how to make that happen.

Planning. I want to help people accomplish great things and spread their joy and gift. The first step is done and there is a great planner I designed to help you do just that. This year I want to sell them and continue to grow the Plan Mindfully community.
