Leaving 2025 and Entering 2026: What a New Year Means to Me

Leaving 2025 and Entering 2026: What a New Year Means to Me

A New Year Rooted in Healing, Growth, and Creative Momentum

There’s something powerful about the quiet space between years.
A moment to reflect.
A moment to choose what comes next.

As I step out of 2025 and into 2026, I’m carrying more than goals—I’m carrying gratitude, resilience, and a renewed sense of creative purpose. After spending 2023 and 2024 fighting and recovering from cancer, this chapter feels especially meaningful. Those years taught me how precious energy is, how deeply creativity heals, and how important it is to build a life—and business—that truly aligns.

2025: The Year I Rebuilt

2025 became my year of rebuilding.
Rebuilding my portfolio.
Rebuilding my business.
Rebuilding trust in my creative voice.

This wasn’t a year of rushing or proving. It was a year of laying foundations—returning to what I love most: storytelling, illustration, color, and design that brings joy into everyday life. Every piece of artwork, every pattern, every sketch felt like a quiet declaration that I was ready to move forward—intentionally and honestly.

My Creative Goals for 2026

2026 feels like a year of momentum—and I’m stepping into it with clarity.

One of my most personal goals is completing Nelly and the Telly, my children’s book project rooted in wonder, family, and the magic of looking up at the stars. Finishing this book feels symbolic—it represents healing, hope, and the power of imagination during hard seasons.

I’m also focused on expanding outreach—connecting with publishers, collaborators, licensing partners, and brands seeking joyful, story-driven artwork. In 2026, I’m especially excited to grow my work in brand packaging and product design, creating art that lives in people’s hands and homes.

And finally, a dream close to my heart: seeing my art in local shops along the coast of Florida. There’s something poetic about colorful, hopeful artwork finding a home in sun-soaked beach towns—places made for wandering, resting, and joy.

Stepping Forward with Intention

I’m not entering 2026 chasing hustle.
I’m choosing alignment.
I’m choosing creativity that feels meaningful.
I’m choosing joy—again and again.

Leaving 2025, I feel proud. Proud of the healing. Proud of the rebuilding. Proud of choosing to stay curious and hopeful even when the path wasn’t clear.

Here’s to finishing what matters, sharing what’s been growing quietly, and welcoming a year filled with color, connection, and creative courage.

With joy and color,

Jules ❤️
