ADD A LITTLE SPICE TO YOUR LIFE...

Hello! I’m Jules aka: Julie McCullough. Though I don’t usually go by Julie, want to learn why? Give this episode of the podcast a listen for the whole story, lol! Trust me it is good.

I am the founder of Julie M Studios, an illustration and design brand. My work incorporates vibrant, playful colors and my designs have a modern twist.

I am a resident introvert and love being by myself. LOL! My favorite people include my family, pets, and inner circle of friends. I love geeking out over all things art and art business. And dare you say the words “organization” or “let’s figure this out” to me because I will be pulling open Excel and creating yet another spreadsheet

I am very blessed to have been freelancing for just about two decades and working with some of the same clients for all those years. I strive to create unique designs and meet the needs of every project.

My studio mate is my pup Coco, a sweet 2 year old Cavalier King Charles. She became the emotional support dog I did not know I even needed. She always joins me in my home studio and occasionally accompanies me to the studio at Lowe Mill.

I have been very fortunate to travel this year and last. Most my travels take me to turquoise waters and sandy beaches. Last year though I ventured to Paris and this year I will venture to Spain, both for a wonderful retreat which you can read about here. I did start 2022 off by heading to Cancun for a solo trip – all.by.myself! It was nothing about amazing and I highly, highly recommend everyone take a trip by themselves.

When I travel I gather inspiration for future projects. With all my traveling already this year I have a long list of ideas to work on. I update my portfolio here on the website each month and daily updates can be found on Instagram

Commercial art design

I am early on this journey into commercial art/surface design. I am eager to learn, grow, and license my work, I want to share and spread joy to others!

It is a dream job to spend my days drawing and creating. This industry seems large but not competitive. I think this is because every artist offers something unique. It is a community and we need to uniquely be ourselves.

My work is fun and modern, I love to blend my hand-painted brushwork with digital work. You can find my work in online stores – Society6 Redbubble. Much of my work is influenced by the ocean and my tropical travels.

Vibrant and playful colored art

As a seeker of positivity and light, my distinctive personal style emanates joy and peace. Life is good.
